Over the North Sea

We left Farsund on Tuesday the 9 of May in pouring rain but otherwise good weather conditions. The journey over the North Sea took two and a half days. Half of the journey we had fair winds but very choppy sea with waves coming from different directions. The other half we had almost no wind at all but heavy fog and had to go by motor. Aiming for Inverness means taking the longest route to Scotland ...

Farsund

Since we are stuck in Farsund, while waiting for better weather, we took the opportunity to look around. Here are some pictures of the beautiful village. Eftersom vi är vi inblåsta i Farsund, i väntan på bättre väder, passade vi på att se oss omkring. Här är några bilder på den vackra byn. We want to take this opportunity to thank friends and family for all the ...

Our friend and round-the-world cyclist, Blandine https://encyclelibre.com made a video of us working on the boat, lifting the boom and hoisting the sails.

One month to go

Today there is one month left until departure. It's the first of April and we've had more snow. We drive to the boat yard at Källviken, near Lysekil where the boat is still on land. She is to be primed and propellers, rope-cutter and bowthrusters installed. We need to launch soon to be able to assemble what we need for blue water sailing
