St. Barths (Saint-Barthélemy)

We had a nice northwesterly sail from Barbuda to St. Martin where we anchored at Marigot Bay. On the way there, we had spent the night in the northern part of St. Barth but decided not to clear in at the island but to visit it later. No sooner said than done! Launching at sea

The week before Easter, Anastacia was launched into the water. It takes time with an almost 10-ton boat... The (snowy) day after, the mast was raised. Our friend and round-the-world cyclist, Blandine https://encyclelibre.com made a video of us working on the boat, lifting the boom and hoisting the sails.

One month to go

Today there is one month left until departure. It's the first of April and we've had more snow. We drive to the boat yard at Källviken, near Lysekil where the boat is still on land. She is to be primed and propellers, rope-cutter and bowthrusters installed. We need to launch soon to be able to assemble what we need for blue water sailing
